vReveal 2 to vReveal 3 upgrade is not free; it costs $20 (we often run promotions on our Facebook Page so you can get it for only $15).

Why not free?

As with any other premium software product, there's a time when new a major version is out and a premium is charged to those who want to upgrade. We plan on staing on v3 for the foreseable future, so your updates in the next 12-18 months will be free.

Our team worked very hard on vReveal 3; it is a major release and we believe that it's well worth the price. Some new features are:

• New clean filter (optimized for 720p and 1080p video)
• Improved speed/stability (up to 50% over vReveal 2)
• New Panorama feature for creating one-click panoramas from video
• All new UI with live gallery. Very useful for managing large video collections.
• Full screen editing
• AMD GPU suport (using OpenCL). vReveal 3 is the first consumer application to fully support x86, CUDA, and OpenCL path in the same product.
• Elegant editing with Titles
• Full localization in 9 languages
• Numerous bugfixes and stabiliy improvements --  for details, please see our Release Notes page.

Finally, you can run vReveal 3 indefinitelly without any commitements. It's a free product with all features fully operational during the Preview, and most features (including stabilization) completely free (e.g., you can save your stabilized video for free).
